A Study On The Narrative Research Of Cao Zhi’s Poetry

Cao Zhi’s poetry occupies an undeliable position in Chinese literature history,and scholars of different eras have made great efforts in the study of Cao Zhi’s poetry,resulting in a remarkable accomplishment， There are richful narrative elements inCao Zhi’s poetry， However, little discussion has been systematically made on itsnarrative elements， Therefore, the thesis adopts western theory of narratology inattempting a unique interpretation in exploring Cao Zhi’s poetry， The thesis includesfive parts: the first part deals with the spiritual nature of Cao Zhi’s poetry so as tofathom the emotional tone of the poetry; the second part deliberates on the narrativestructure of Cao Zhi’s poetry, in particular, a combined use of Chinese narratologytheory and western narratology theory is employed in this part; the third part focuseson the notions of implied author, focused pointview and non-focused pointview inbearing the author Cao Zhi’s heart; the forth part discusses the spatial worldconstructed in Cao Zhi’s poetry in order to get an understand of Cao Zhi’s vicissitudesin life; the fifth part analyzes the metaphoric narration in Cao Zhi’s poetry, which isunique in Chinese narrative tradition and which establishes the unalterable position ofCao Zhi’s poetry in Chinese literature history，...
