| Ling Li, who is a famous historical novel writer in contemporary China, began writing at the end1970s and created a series of outstanding works with different language styles for over thirty years. Based on rich history knowledge, masterly language ability, exclusive femininity and brilliant writing talent, she has shown readers sections of grand and magnificent history in different language styles. Most researching papers on Ling Li’s historical novels focus on femininity and aesthetics which belong to literature rather than linguistics, although only a few on linguistics, none on language styles. Given the reason, taken the most famous "Century Grand" trilogy and<Meng Duan Guan He> as object, based on theories of Chinese language style, and referred to some existing researches, this paper analyses Ling Li’s historical novel language styles.This paper analyses leading language style features of four typical historical novels, and conclude that the leading feature of<Shao Man Tian Zi> is graceful, rich and varied,<Mu Gu Chen Zhong--Shao Man Kangxi> is glorious but implicative,<Qing Guo Qing Cheng> is simple and sorrowful, and<Meng Duan Guan He> is exquisite and miserable. This Paper provide detailed description and analysis on the means to performance of these styles.This paper analyses leading language style features a of Ling Li’s works as well. It suggests that elegance and meticulousness is the main feature of Ling Li’s historical novels. This paper gives specified description and analysis on how these two language styles forms and appears as well.Also, the paper discussed the the reason of formation of the language styles in the author’s works from personal growth of the author, change of themes of her works and her artistic pursuit. |
