Research On Ling Zhilong's "Historical Records

Ling Zhilong was a famous publisher and historian in the Ming Dynasty.Influenced by his family,he devoted himself to writing and achieved a lot.The Compilation of Shiji is an influential and widely circulated commentary on Shiji published by Ling Zhilong after the Review of Shiji.On the basis of the arrangement of the rules and methods of the Records of the Grand Historian,the book selects the essential chapters of the Records of the Grand Historian and makes circular comments on them from two aspects of literature and history,concentrating on the expression of Ling Zhilong’s insights on the study of the Records of the Grand Historian.This article will analyze Ling Zhilong’s Shijizuan from the following aspects:The introduction summarizes the research status of the commentaries of the Historian of the Ming Dynasty,the research status of Ling Zhilong’s Commentaries of the Historian and the research status of Ling Zhilong’s Commentaries of the Historian,and discusses the research significance and methods of the topic selection.The first chapter combs the life and works of Ling’s family members and explores the influence of the characteristics of Ling’s family history on Ling Zhilong’s historiography.The second chapter discusses the background of Ling Zhilong’s compilation of Shijizuan.With the development of the literary retro movement in the Ming Dynasty,writers intended to publicize their own literary opinions by reviewing literary works,which made the review of the Records of the Historian prevailing in this period and produced many works about the review of the Records of the Historian.In addition,the development of commodity economy in the Taihu Lake Basin in the Ming Dynasty promoted the change of Confucian thoughts and ideas,and they began to recognize the commercial consciousness and want to obtain commercial profits through business activities.Thirdly,the Shiji articles conform to the Chinese classical aesthetic ideal,as a model of articles,naturally favored by imperial examination students.All these reasons are the important factors for the publication of the Annals of the Historian.Chapter three is to sort out the style of the Annals of the Compilations,and mainly introduce the basic components of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations of the compilations.Ling Zhilong selected 102 articles from the Records of the Grand Historian and one from the Book of Ren Shaoqing,a total of 103 articles,of which 45 were included in full text and 57 were excerpted.The second section focuses on the comparison and analysis of critics’ comments on the Compilation of the Historian and the Review of the Historian to explore Ling Zhilong’s experience in reading history.Each article in the book has a circle,are the article’s talent,essence,vision,the key point,and comment content complement each other,mutual achievement.Chapter four analyzes the literary criticism and historical criticism of the Compilation of the Historian.Literary criticism is the core part of the Compilations of the Historian.This section mainly discusses from three aspects: language,structure and narrative,and makes a detailed classification of the commentaries in the compilations of the Historian by means of tables.Through analyzing the comments of Ling Zhilong and26 critics quoted by him,we can see that although the language of Records of the Grand Historian is simple but profound,the structure arrangement is superb,and the narrative is changeable and innovative.Compared with literary criticism,the number of historical criticism in the Compilations of the Historian is small,mainly from the historical figures and historical events.Finally,the conclusion part summarizes and analyzes the compilation features and deficiencies of Ling Zhilong’s Shijizuan,and objectively evaluates the significance and value of Shijizuan.
