This passage mainly focuses on the literature of the Cultural Landscape of theDengzhou Mirage, which has a very long history and various kinds of historydocuments. The passage focuses on the compilation of the historical documents of the culturallandscape of Dengzhou Mirage and correlated poetry, and explores its variouscharacteristics of different times and dynasties and the evolution in between, as wellas excavates and restores its essential historical value and cultural connotation. Thepassage also has important value in the comtemporary days.This passage systematically collected the information of Dengzhou Mirage in thehistorical documents, and categorized them according to different dynasties: Han&Tang, Song&Yuan, Ming and Qing. During the Han&Tang dynasties, literature ofDengzhou Mirage began to emerge, it mainly described the yearning towards God andthe wonderland. Dengzhou Mirage was until then still a mysterious place and had fewdocuments about it. Description of the landscape was mostly composed out ofsuperstitious belief. During Song&Yuan Dynasties, Dengzhou Mirage has come into people’s sight. During this key period, the establishment of the Penglai Pavilion andthe publishing of Sushi’s Dengzhou Poem on a mirage sequence have both made theDengzhou Mirage famous, lots of poems referring to Dengzhou emerged. The Songdyansty is a key turning point in the evolution of Dengzhou Mirage, both reflected inthe amount of historical documents and poems at that time. When it came to the Mingdynasty, the amount of the historical documents about Dengzhou Mirage had come tothe peak, among which we could find some written by the Korean envoys. Detaileddescription of the scenery of Dengzhou Mirage appeared, as well as some scientifictype of literature, which has similar point of view with the explanation of modernscience. In the Qing dynasty, historical document about the Dengzhou Miragecontinued to develop. Knowledge about the landscape in the Ming dynasty continuedto occupy people’s mind, and there has been more detailed records and research.From the compilation and the study of historical documents of differentdynasties, we can see the context of the historical development of Dengzhou Mirage,which, on the other hand, has important influence on our research nowadays.Dengzhou Mirage is rich in culture from the point of view of ocean science, historyand marine esthetic art.
