This paper chose298prison polices to study from six prisons in AnHuiand ZheJiang province.This resaerch probes into the relationships betweenhardiness and social support,and job satisfaction among prison polices,usingthe Hardiness Scale(HS) revised by TangYan,the Social Support RatingScale(SSRS) complied by Xiao shuiyuan, the Minnesota Satisfaction ShortForm Questionnaire(MSQ). The conclusions drawn by this research are asfollows:1. Hardiness Scale, social support Scale and job satisfaction Scale areconducted a qualitative analysis and are revised by exploratory factoranalysis and confirmatory factor analysis, finalized formal questionnaireshave good reliability and validity;2. The conditions of hardiness, social support and job satisfaction amongprison polices are generally in a medium level;3. To a certain extent,demographic variables have some effects onhardiness,social support and job satisfaction: prison polices’job satisfactionshows significant differences on Marital status, age and police ranks;4. prison polices’hardiness and intrinsic satisfaction, extrinsicsatisfaction and general satisfaction show significantly positivecorrelations,and Commitment, control and challenge of Hardiness to jobsatisfaction has positive effects;5. prison polices’social support and intrinsic satisfaction, extrinsicsatisfaction and general satisfaction show significantly positive correlations,and Subjective support, objective support and utilization of support of socialsupport to job satisfaction has positive effects;6. structural equation model showed that, hardiness personality not onlyfor job satisfaction play a role directly, but also by social support and jobsatisfaction indirectly.
