The study based on corpora is getting more and more attention with its wide application like in the field of language teaching, language and translation research and dictionary compiling and so on. This study tries to probe into the correlation between LCs and the accuracy and fluency in E-C ST based on corpus.LC in this study is defined from the angle of foreign language teaching. That is:LCs is a basic grammatical unit for a complete utterance which is stored in human mind as a whole; it is with the features of distinguishable structure, a relatively fixed meaning and some degrees of abstraction. The accuracy of E-C ST is measured through "information unit". While the quality of fluency is accessed through three indicators, namely, speech rate (SR), mean length of run (MLR) and repairs per100characters (R100).Sixteen first year postgraduate students in Guangxi University who attended STght Interpreting class were selected to participate in this experiment which lasts for fourteen weeks. The experiment includes pretest and posttest and the training of E-C ST and LCs in class and after class. It is conducted following the five questions:(1) Has the students’LCR improved after fourteen weeks’E-C ST training?(2) Has the students’AR improved after fourteen weeks’E-C ST training?(3) Has the students’Fluency improved after fourteen weeks’E-C ST training?(4) What is the correlation between LCR and AR in E-C ST?(5) What is the correlation between LCR and FI in E-C ST?COOL EDIT PRO V2.1is used to deal with the wave documents of the subjects to get the data like the duration of interpreting, length of pauses and repairs. SPSS is employed for the analysis of bivriate correlation between LCR and accuracy and fluency.According to the analysis results, students have made improvement in terms of LCR, AR and FI and there is a positive correlation between LC and accuracy while there is no correlation between LC and fluency in E-C ST.
