| Folk arts and crafts is the intangible cultural heritage which created by humanity’s ancestor, is an important part of national culture and also the ancient material civilization of mankind.Khmer earthenware craft in Kampong Chhnang province is one of the splendid earthenware craft and folk arts of Cambodia. It similar to other well-known folk crafts, the earthenware in Kampong Chhnang province is handmade by the local villagers and it is modeling for household utensils. Its raw material, molding and firing process is a local regional cultural characteristic.Earthenware in Kampong Chhnang province of Cambodia has gone through a long history of intermittent overlapping, record the life of successive potters of the villages. Through the site visits, research, combination with literature data on Kompong Chhnang Province and organized of the characteristics of the earthenware craft, I made out some basic view points on the earthenware of arts and crafts. It has positive and practical significance to inherit and develop the earthenware folk arts and crafts of Cambodia. |
