As a contact zone of Chinese civilization and Indian civilization, Southeast Asian has communicated China and ancient India. Thailand is an important country in Southeast Asian and its culture shows the characteristic that influenced by both Indian culture and Chinese culture. Except local culture, it absorbed the positive factor in both the two cultures actively, and developed a unique Thailand culture.Chinese culture is broad and profound, and it has influenced Thai culture in different period. The history of contact between China and Thailand can be traced back to the Three Kingdoms period. During the official or folk communication between these two countries, Chinese culture made a subtle influence on every aspect of Thailand. This article attempts to take Lanna district of north Thailand as an example, start from the history of communication between the two countries, and then discusses the influence of Chinese culture from Thai culture. After that it talks about the Yunnan people in Lanna district of north Thailand to investigate the situation of how well these people inheriting Chinese language and custom. At last, this article describes the situation of Chinese education in Lanna district of north Thailand, and looks forward to the future.From the point of view of cultural transmission, Thai culture is a result of cultural exchange between China and Thailand. The process that Chinese culture affects Thailand promotes the cultural and economic development of Thailand. This article describes the major clue and the main features of Chinese culture transmitting to Lanna district of north Thailand in different period, from aspects of history, geography, politics, economy, the elite and the public. In my opinion, to study the progress of Chinese culture transmitting to Thailand can provide reference to our country’s international policy and the "Bridgehead Strategy" of Yunnan province.
