The subject of the article is the Chinese extraordinary collocation. During dailycommunication, some expressions are seemingly against the rules of the grammars,semantics and pragmatics which have broad scope. We name it as extraordinarycollocation. According to language materials in our possession, categorizing them, wedescribe and analyze them. Summarize the generating mechanisms of extraordinarycollocation, the relationship between context and them, the pragmatic principles thatthey follow and pragmatic functions that they have.In introduction, it contains topical origin, investigative present condition, and theobject of study, the scope, the sense, and the research methods. Comparing with thenormal collocation and erroneous collocation, we define the scope of Chineseextraordinary collocation as which break the rules of grammars, semantic conditions,pragmatic principles and have unusual expressive effects. We are also on to researchChinese extraordinary collocation from cognitive theory, subjective theory, markednesstheory of functional grammar.The first chapter, we classify the Chinese extraordinary collocation from semanticsand pragmatics. We also describe and analyze them meticulously and summarize thestructural features.The second chapter, we summarize generating mechanisms of Chineseextraordinary collocation and explain the relating theory.
