Modernity Into The Mirror:the Critical Logic Of Ecological Marxism

The topic of modernity emerges as the paradox of human being survival. The modernity criticism has been a dominant hue in western ideology and culture of20th century. Among the great chorus with various voices of Modernity criticism, the criticism of Ecological Marxism has a unique style. The Ecologic Marxism criticizes the modern society with a view of ecology to solve the basic problems of human society and natural relation and takes the mutual harmony between human society and nature as the ultimate target. Under the background of modern criticism, the critical logic of Ecologic Marxism provides a natural mirror of modernity problem which reflects the living dilemma of present generation. The Ecologic Marxism is different from Green Ecology Movement which has only pure technological criticism on capitalism ecological crisis. From the point of view of "Capitalism application of technologies", it explores the root of capitalism ecological crisis and supply solutions, which does not only lead it into Marxism but also offer us a referential outlet of modernity living dilemma. We are also confronted with the development paradox in the process of Chinese modernization.
