With the development of high tech instrumentarium teaching technology is changing in a new faster pace. The so called Blended Learning methodology is becoming more and more popular in an environment where every second person owns a smartphone. How can we take advantage of this new technology and help learners of Chinese to improve their skills through their personal electronic devices? In the first chapter we will consider the advantages and disadvantages of using touchscreen technology to create Chinese teaching applications. The second chapter will concentrate on the principles of creating such a program. The third chapter will describe the required interface, the necessary components and the links and connections which bond them together. Chapter four will explain which teaching methods are suitable for modern touchscreen electronic instruments and why. Chapter five will feature different software modules as instruments of teaching Chinese, we will conduct experiments to probe their results and make conclusions about their ability to help us teach Chinese. In chapter six we will analyze the tasks an application like this should include, what they should include and how they should be connected to each other. Our goal is through creating a virtual world to compose a suitable environment in which teaching Chinese in the form of a Role Playing Game can create exotic and humorous situations which will facilitate our students’ memory and help their Chinese learning process, leading to better teaching results.
