The Application Of Chinese Water-ink Elements In Post Design

Water-ink element is one of the symbols of Chinese national culture, which has unique cultural meaning and spirit connotation. Poster is an advertising form having both artistry and availability, and it passes information through the form of art. With the constant development of Chinese arts and the promotion of people’s artistic tastes, poster’s aesthetic value is attracting increasing interest in addition to passing information. There is an increasing requirement for the innovativeness and cultural connotation of poster design, especially the cultural, artistic and public poster. As a unique cultural heritage, the status and value of water-ink element could not be ignored. It’s not easy to grasp water-ink’s essence and skill, which is obtained through elder people’s practice constantly. As the constitute elements of drawing and painting, water-ink element could inosculate poster design. And they could learn from each other, because there is no clear dividing line for art. This paper investigates the combination and value of water-ink elements and poster design, which is the development of traditional culture and art.How will water-ink elements be inherited, applied and developed constantly in Chinese poster design? First, this paper concretely analyses and teases the basic content and the main features of water-ink elements. Simply speaking, water-ink elements is the ink mark using the techniques of wrinkling, rubbing, pointing and dying in the Xuan paper combined with water and ink uses the writing brush as tool. Water-Ink element is from the Chinese water-ink art, including ink spot, ink line, ink color. Among them, ink spot and ink line are not absolute and could be converted to the ink surface in a certain extent. The orient art characteristics can be highlighted by figure constituted by them in the poster. Water-Ink element has raw modality, changeful ink image and black-white appeal, and these characteristics are what the western art could not complete with. It has natural and half abstracted art form and joins the subjective thinking of creator, which is just the interpretation to Chinese impressionistic art spirit. Secondly, this paper analyzes origin and blend of the water-ink elements with the poster design. The appearing of water-ink is earlier than poster, and there seems to be no relevance between water-ink elements and poster design. But with the social and economic development, goods producers make use of poster as publicity form to make their products more efficiently transmit to the consumers, and then water-ink elements which have orient culture characteristics are speculated in poster. Once more, this paper expatiates upon the water-ink elements’ heritage and innovation in poster design. Innovation is the new arrangement of the old element. Water-ink elements are one of Chinese symbols. Follow change of the times and the art communication between countries, diversified changes have taken place in the using of water-ink elements in the poster design. Lastly, this paper expounds the water-ink element s’value in the poster design, and concretely analyses the artist is how to learn the bill of ink art and to apply in poster design, in order to better reflect its value. Culture art without unique character will not produce a higher artistic value and taste. Water-ink art interprets the eastern culture concept and the traditional aesthetic purpose with its unique expression, which plays an important role in Chinese art category.Water-ink elements as traditional culture art combine with modern poster, which is not only one return, but also an innovation, and easier obtain people’s understanding and support, even emotional resonance. It’s not the real understanding of traditional culture only from superficial knowledge of it. Poster designers need further grasp water-ink elements, even repeatedly practice to know the ins and outs between water-ink elements and poster, and then they could take water-ink elements’characteristics to poster design and achieve the re-innovation on the basic of original ones.
