The Phonetic Research Of Baiyangtian Town Linxiang City Of Hunan Province

The city of Linxiang is on the north-east of the Hunan Province and it is next to Hubei and Jiangxi Province.Because of its special location,the dialect in Linxiang city is complicated but characteristic.However,the dialect here has not been taken notice by the academia all the time.There are not many references about the research of the dialect,nor is the special research works.Besides the materials recorded by the local chorography,the dialect is mentioned in part of works about the cross survey of the dialect of Hunan Province.This paper is based on the survey of dialect in the Baiyangtian Town,where is on the border of Linxiang city.The study attempts to figure down the current situation of the dialect in the town and fill in the gap of the dialect study system of Linxiang city. It also enriches the achievements of boundary dialect study.The paper uses the method of chinese dialectology and fieldwork,gets the conclusion of Baiyangtian dialect.In the paper we analysis the phonology,the literary and colloquial readings,the form of the same syllables.The paper uses the statistical approach to analysis the close and distant relation, is about the same as the surrounding dialects.
