The economic globalization has made the exchanges in various countries and regions strengthened, the contacts of material and spiritual in human life exceeded the geographical restrictions, which leave the intercultural communication possible. Meanwhile, opportunities as well as challenges have been brought in film and television industry to various countries and regions along with the cultural globalization. It has been an important problem that how to find an appropriate road for their own development in the trend of cultural globalization, which we should think about.This paper studys on the case of "Hana Yori Dango", a Janpanese Automation. Since2000, it has been remaked to4different Youth Idol Dramas in Taiwan, Japan, Korea and mainland of China. Based on the theory of culture study, this research reveals how these4Youth Idol Dramas make a balance between localization and intercultural communication, how these4Youth Idol Dramas achieve a win-win situation in both of the domestic and overseas markets. Furthermore, this analysis provides some suggestions for the development of Chinese Youth Idol Drama, and even more for the prospect of Chinese film and TV industry.This dissertation is divided into five chapters:Chapter I analyses the communication of the youth idol under the globalization. The second chapter focuses on how "Hana Yori Dango" confirms the idea of "think globally, act locally". Chapter III studys on how "Hana Yori Dango" makes the intercultural communication successful, which based on the theory of culture incommon and culture identity. Chapter IV studys on how "Hana Yori Dango" make the local communication successful and the problem that have met during the local communication,which based on the theory of culture different and culture conflict.The last chapter gives some suggestions about the development of Chinese Youth Idol Drama, including:making the "contemporary" and "national character"coordinate, handling cultural conflict correctly and treating the commercialization dialectically.
