The contemporary literary world in China, if we say that the writers have adistinctive regional and cultural characteristics, Mo Yan is undoubtedly one of the verybest. Since the80s of last century, novels created by Mo Yan triggers the aestheticrevolution of novel field in the novel narrative theme and the narrative form, make thembecome an unneglectable objective reality about contemporary literature description andliterary study in the new period. This article Starts from the personal novel readingexperience, the author finds ceremonial narrative, a prominent feature, in Mo Yan’sNovels, this is not only an existing form of ceremonial narrative based on a lot ofrecords to describe ritual、ceremony and festival in the novels, but also is a basicjudgment based on Mo Yan narrates ceremonial the daily life in the novels. The authorbelieves that when the writer is enamored with narrating and describing the real“ceremony” in his novels, and never avoiding harassment puts daily life toprogrammable and arranged recur, and then to form his special ceremonial textualcharacteristics based on exaggeration、parallelism and irony as the main feature, theceremonial narrative is fully constituting a typical characteristic of the writer novelwriting. This Paper plans to attempt to take Bakhin’s Carnival Poetics Theory、CulturalAnthropology Theory and Literary Anthropology Theory and as the brace to do asystematic combing and integrated research on the ceremonial narrative of Mo Yan’snovels, to analyze the causes of ceremonial narrative, to show the basic morphology ofceremonial narrative existed widespread in his novels, and to investigate the outstandingmanner of discourse of ceremonial narrative in the novels、and then to expound MoYan’s ceremonial narrative from the point of civilization significance, thus to putliterature history significance of Mo Yan’s ceremonial narrative to make a basic value ofpromotion and positioning. In a certain sense, the research and analysis on ceremonialnarrative of Mo Yan’s novels, is an expansion of literature of Mo Yan’s novels, therational analysis and research on ceremonial narrative of Mo Yan’s novels, is helpful forus to understand deeply the unique value of Mo Yan’s novel in the literature history.Firstly, the paper provides a commentary of the present study of Mo Yan’s writingbeginning from the background of the selected title, explains the reasonable significance of studying ceremonial narrative on the basic of pointing out that the present studyexists in research angle missing. Secondly, the paper points out that the edification offolklore and ghost stories in Mo Yan’s growing up, the nourishment of China-foreignculture and the powerful push of “cultural root-seeking” thought, these three aspectsmake up the source and basic power of Mo Yan’s ceremonial narrative.
