International Chinese Language Teachers’ training problem is the heart of the matterthat affects the Chinese language promotion career develops continuously, steadily andefficiently. Making sure what ability the ICLTs should have, defining the goals is thepremise of the teachers’ training and cultivation. It is also the logical beginning of theestablishing of the training system, which is extremely meaningful to the construction ofthe qualified ICLTs.This paper is based on the culture communication perspective, starts frominternational promotion of Chinese, with the distinct characteristics of cross-culture andcross-boundary. It places ICLTs as the principal of culture communication. Based on thetransmission characteristics, combined the compound of the language and culturecommunication with the complexity of the exotic culture and the situation of theinternational society; tries to seek a more realistic systematic research idea. This willsupply the theoretical basis of training ICLTs, and help people grasp the trainingorientation more clearly and precisely.This paper argues that teaching Chinese language is a progress of spread cultureindeed; ICLT is the produce of the development of the career of teaching Chinese as asecond language. With the transformation of teaching Chinese as a second language,ICLTs become the main part of the dissemination of language and culture, whichpresents some new characteristics, such as the compatible spread content with bothlanguage and culture, variety of spread media. Facing with the change and thecharacteristics, ICLTs should meet the international demand, adapt to the change of theenvironment, and promote the spread of language and culture. In view of this, the articleputs the research into language and culture education, culture spread and cross-culturecommunication; promotes the training goals and the necessary ability of an ICLTaccording to the analysis of the spread activity. These abilities include the teaching oflanguage and culture activities in the mastery of learners’ cultural needs, follow abilitybetween different cultures organization regulation ability, induct local social andcultural environment of information related to the ability of teachers’ personality andstyle, formed the ability, in the promotion of cultural activities in the media literacy andmedia control, in cross culture the interpersonal relationships in a personal imageconstruction ability and cultural adaptation.
