Knowing is an important terms in Chinese ancient literary theory, and anindispensable theoretical category for researching our traditional culture. It containstwo indispensable links——literary creation and reception which makes the literaryactivities unimpeded. It implies abundant thought of literary theory which is not onlyindispensable in Chinese traditional thought and literary theory, but also possessesreference meaning in the construction of Chinese literary theory system and thetheory of literary creation and reception in the context of mass media.Firstly, as a kind of the theory on aesthetic creation of ancient Chinese poetics,Knowing rooted in the deep national flower of fertile soil of the social、theeconomy、the culture in Chinese ancient times, and grown up and improvedconstantly in the Chinese traditional culture that has a long history, which made greatcontributions to the development and perfect of the theory of ancient Chinesepoetics.Secondly, Knowing mainly manifested in two aspects which is creation(literary creation)、two degrees creation (literary accept) as a kind of the theory onaesthetic creation of ancient Chinese poetics.On one hand, literary creation is a process of aesthetic creation. In literarycreation theory, knowing is shown as is shown as the mutual induction and fitbetween the creation subject——man’s heart and creation object——the heart ofobjects. It is not only directly relates to the aesthetic occurrence of literary creation,but also exists as the aesthetic pursuit of literary creation, which emphasizesintuitional experience of aesthetic, and pursues the natural beauty of literary creationand the implicit pregnant art characteristic of poetry, and advocates the interminglingof the feeling and scene.On the other hand, the essence of literary acceptance is also to create. In theliterary acceptance theory, knowing is shown as the meet between heart andheart, which involved in the telepathy between the accepters’ heart and the creator’s heart, also in the aesthetic psychology of interaction between receptionsubjects. It unfolds in the hermeneutics of ancient Chinese literature and combinswith the critical concept or critical method of Chinese ancient literary theory, such asBosomFriend、 MeaningAgainst Feeling、 Shi Wu Da Gu.
