"Xunzi" is a master of rational prose in the pre-Qin period.Compared with the study of philosophical thought,the overall literary study of "Xunzi" is relatively weak.Based on this,this article attempts to explore the literary characteristics of "Xunzi" from the perspective of "Literature is a deliberate writing and a'review' of this writing".The first chapter studies the generation of Xunzi's text,which is the basis of Xunzi's literature and the starting point of studying Xunzi's literary characteristics.For the pre-qin classics,the formation of text is a complicated process.On the subjective level,"Xun Zi" has finally created the text through the creation of the three roles of the original author,the producer,and the finalizer.This also shows the complexity and diachronism of the pre-Qin script from creation to finalization;On the level of text construction,"Xun Zi" is generally a repetition of tradition and a tradition based on its evolution.The repetition of tradition is mainly reflected in the ancient writing of text writing,the imitation of predecessors,and the repeated use of public materials;The evolution on the basis of tradition has the characteristics of situational transformation,simple fables and disintegration of interlocutors.Repetition and evolution reveal the normative and fluid nature of the text.The second chapter discusses the style of "Xunzi",which is the form of "Xunzi" literature.It mainly discusses three aspects of Xunzi's argumentative prose,miscellaneous poetry and hidden style.As four important styles of discussion,argument,disapproval and solution have similarities,but they cannot be regarded as the same.The style of discussion originated from the imperial court's deliberation,which was characterized by the fact of the matter,the pivot of the classic and meaning of the obvious core;The argumentative style inherits some functions of argumentative style and pays more attention to the coherent speech,which is characterized by intensive research,dialectical right and wrong,and intuitive explanation;As a violation of the old point of view,ridicule,disapproval to eliminate the differences for the purpose,with the characteristics of speech will stand,the old ridiculed bullet;As a violation and taunt of the old views,it aims to eliminate the differences,and has the characteristics of saying what is necessary and violating the old ones;Explain is characterized by the resolution of doubts and explanation.The four styles closely fit the historical context of the pre-qin period and embody the clear stylistic consciousness,and the prosperity of the Warring States articles promotes the development of style.Discussion,argument,disapproval and solution have important stylistic significance.The meaning of the title of "Cheng Xiang" has always been divergent,and a relatively unified understanding has not yet been formed.The main points of "Chengxiang" are mostly derived from the "ruling chaos by phase" in the "Book of Rites and Yueji",but the historical understanding of "ruling chaos by phase" is ambiguous.The "phase" of "control chaos by phase" is the "xiang" dance."Cheng" means playing music,"Cheng Xiang" is the music of playing "Xiang" dance,and "Cheng Xiang" is the speech of "Xiang" dance.This is confirmed by the meaning of the word "formation",the division of structure and the characteristics of "governance" and "chaos" in the article."Cheng Xiang" embodies the characteristics of poetry,music and dance in the pre-Qin period,and is part of the music culture of the Zhou Dynasty.As a poem,"Chengxiang" also reflects the connection with the "Book of Songs" in terms of "repetition" and rhythm.The jagged sentence structure shows the difference from "The Poem",and also shows the characteristics of its miscellaneous words.In terms of thinking,Xunzi used the words "Cheng Xiang" to pin his aspirations.Hidden style is a special style in the pre-Qin period.The original meaning of "hidden" is to borrow the mound to depend on,according to the mound and separated,and mound is the key factor of hidden into hidden.Enigma refers to the intentional construction of the hermit based on perception,and it is a presuppositional interpretation of expressing opinions.This presuppositional interpretation is mainly embodied in two levels: one implicit admonition characteristics,and thus has the conditions to become a style.Xunzi's "Fu Pian" is his literary representative work.The part of "Gui poem" was not written by Xunzi,but was a postscript of the Western Han Dynasty,so "Fu Pian" is composed of five invisibles.Based on the original meaning of Yin and its definition,I re-examined the differences and unfinished points in the five hidden features of "Fu Pian",and concluded that the five hidden features of "Fu Pian" are pseudo-subject and object,false as Questions and answers;build the fus and hide,see through the fus;feel the current affairs,the emphasis is on admonition.The hidden style has a certain influence on the formation of Han Fu,the obscure use of poetry,and the shaping of the artistic conception,and has important stylistic significance.The third chapter is the analysis of the text structure of "Xunzi",which is also the display level of "Xunzi" literature.The linguistic level mainly narrates the character,morphology,and syntax.The variable use of Xunzi's character and syntax forms a language tone that is different from others,and also lays the foundation for the image and meaning it embodies.As the middle level of the text structure,the literary image is a kind of transfer writing under the unsatisfactory state of the language,and the author's unique psychological consciousness contained therein is the deep driving force of literary creation.The aesthetic meaning is different from inside and outside.The exterior is formal and aesthetic;the interior is based on content,which tends to be historical and philosophical.The literary language layer,the literary image layer and the aesthetic meaning layer are discussed separately,and it is concluded that the three are in a progressive relationship,and each layer is inextricably linked,and they together constitute the structure of the literary text level.The chapter structure of "Xunzi" is mainly divided into single structure mode and multiple structure mode.There are progressive and parallel modes of single structure.The multiple structure modes include total score total-progressive-parallel structure,total score-parallel structure,total score total-parallel structure,total score-progressive structure,progressive-parallel structure,total score-Progressive structure.Some chapters in "Xunzi" are quite exquisite in both layout and composition.It can be seen that Xunzi has a clear and conscious understanding of the layout of the article.The structure of "Xunzi" is composed of six parts: self-cultivation,clear separation,king and dominance,human theory,clear separation,and human theory.The overall structure is a progressive and corresponding structural model.The fourth chapter examines the literary image in "Xunzi".The character image in "Xunzi" first discusses the influence of social environment and self-cultivation,and the separation of characters.Xunzi proposes to take "rituals" as an advanced way of life.Respecting the capable,loving the people and being close to the people,and "criminal simplicity and power flow" together constitute the image of the saint king of "comparing to the middle".This embodies the gradual view of the holy king of "Holy-King-Holy King".The five tyrants can be in harmony with the people and can "enter the realm of etiquette and righteous education",but they have no "forward quality." The image of ministers mainly includes state ministers,usurpers,heroes,and saint ministers,which embodies the Taoist view of "following the path and not following the emperor",differing from the "prince",and "the minister enjoying his merit".Artists,hermits and ordinary people also embody the author's thoughts.Based on the investigation method of "knowing the distance by the near and far" and the evaluation method of the "successfulness by speaking",the character writing in "Xunzi" presents the characteristics of three aspects: detailed difference,narration by reason and objective evaluation.The animal images in "Xunzi" can be divided into insects,fish,birds,and beasts."Walking like a horse" embodies Xunzi's "learning" thought,"Puma","good horse" and "escape horse" contain the connotation of "li".The plant images in Xunzi can be divided into two categories,one is grass plant,the other is wood plant."Wei Shao" "shoot dry" "Peng" "Lan Huai" reflects the gentleman's "fake";The "absence" of the context of "pine and cypress" in the Analects of Confucius and the "presence" of the context in Xunzi endue the connotation of "pine and cypress" as a gentleman's aspiration.The fifth chapter discusses the literary influence of "Xunzi" from two aspects:acceptance of anthology and acceptance of creation.The anthology of "Xunzi" generally presents three types: prose anthology,poem anthology,and fu anthology.The compilation of these three types of anthologies reflects the comprehension and acceptance of the text of "Xunzi".The literary acceptance of "Xunzi" commentary is mainly reflected in grammar,reasoning,emotion,style,language,narration,style and so on.Creative acceptance mainly focuses on the articles since the Tang and Song Dynasties,focusing on three different forms of creative acceptance: text continuation,style acceptance and grammar acceptance.Text continuation is a unique form of creation,which reflects the author's elucidation of the former text.Of course,whether this form of creation is "positive reading","Misreading",or "misinterpretation",it is all the acceptance of creation closely related to the former text;stylistic acceptance mainly investigates that later creators will be regulated by the stylistic attributes of the former text when they create,and retains some of the characteristics of these styles;grammatical acceptance is linked from the three aspects of morphology,syntax and organization It reflects the praise and practice of the ancient writers for the prose grammar of pre Qin period since Tang and Song dynasties.In summary,"Xunzi" as a model of pre-Qin reasoning prose is nothing less than good.In addition,"Chengxiang" and "Fu",which have been discussed a lot in academic circles,play a pivotal role in their respective styles."Xunzi" presents a brilliant bloom of various literary styles.Later readers broke through the "historical distance" and continued to comprehend and create the literature of "Xunzi".
