Version variation is an extremely important phenomenon in the creation of ZhangAiling’s novels. By rewriting the text additions and deletions,traditional continuation,creative change of the text,the writer not only maintains the version continuity,butalso implants a new implication, with different levels of meanings. The process ofversion variation, reflects the writer’s complex changes in the creative mentality,cultural values, aesthetic pursuit, artistic concepts, narratives method and the text style,which provides us with a rare study template to context the writer’s creation on thesame theme in different times.This article focuses on the specific version variation of the three novels of ZhangAiling, compares and researches the texts, and analyzes internal and external causesof the writer to make these changes.Part of the introduction explains this dissertations reason, academic value, theresearch status, and describes the object of study and methods of the paper.The first chapter describes the rewriting condition from the novella "GoldenLock" to the novel "Unhappy Woman". From the adjustment of narrative time, theaddition of the details of life and the portray of the character’s psychology,the articleanalyzes the different meanings of the two texts. Also the article explores the causesof the characters and the storyline changes from the aspects of the author’s creationmentality and life experiences.The second chapter introduces the version variability of the "Eighteen Springs"and " Half of the fate". The first part researches the language changes in the two texts.The second part discusses the cause of the fate changes of the characters. The thirdpart states the returning of the "legendary" type of writing style.The third chapter is devoted to the order of the "Xiao Ai" versions, socialenvironment, external evaluation, and Zhang Ailing’s own views. According to textscomparison, the article restores the historical context, researches the different creation mentality of various periods.The fourth chapter is a summary of the full text. It focuses on the investigation ofdeep causes about the version variation of Zhang Ailing’s novels from the two parts:the external environment changes and the call of the heart.
