Zhao Zongfu (1915-1966) was a loyal communist fighter, the outstanding communist party member, the excellent intelligence agent, the prominent educator, and the most respected united front worker and social activist. He was born in the old society of feudal bureaucracy family, but he gave up nabobism. He was changing from childe to the communist soldier, and he had made the immortal contribution for the Communist International and the national liberation cause of the Chinese people. He followed truth all his life. He was concerned with motherland destiny, and had has sincere patriotic feeling, and devoted to the cause of communism. His lofty characters and personality fascination are respected and beloved. This chapter introduced Zhao Zongfu’s learning and working experience, and positions he had hold. Zhao Dai wen, who is Zhao Zongfu’s father, is introduced in the family background. He influenced growth of Zhao Zongfu.The third chapter mainly discusses progressive thought of Zhao Zongfu, including three parts in believing in Marxism, being a member of the Communist Party and anti-feudal idea. Zhao Zongfu had read the massive progress books and the newspapers under the guidance of teachers with progressive thought. Therewith he had believed in Marxism and been a member of the Communist Party. Teaching in Jin Shan middle school, he spread anti-feudal idea to the majority of teachers and students.The fourth chapter mainly discusses patriotic thought of Zhao Zongfu, including two parts in opposing imperialist aggression and anti-Japanese thought. He had has patriotic heart since childhood. Whether participated in patriotic movement during school or took part in underground revolutionary work, even his article published in newspaper reflects his patriotic thought of opposing Japan imperialist aggression. He would get the complete independence of the Chinese nation as his life pursuit.The fifth chapter mainly discusses democratic thought of Zhao Zongfu, including two parts in spreading the ideology of democracy and science at Jin Shan and making use of newspaper to promote democracy thought. He had mentioned several times about freedom of press, democracy, Three People’s Principles and democratic movement in his article published, which has the enlightenment role to national’s democratic awareness.The sixth chapter mainly discusses educational thought of Zhao Zongfu, including four parts in valuing talented person and enriching construction of teachers, put emphasis on educational qualities, actively encouraging scientific research work, and improving relationship between teachers and students. He respects and treasures talented person, and also cares about middle-aged and young teachers. He puts much emphasis on teaching task, as well as teaching quality improvement. Furthermore, he thought that the teacher should strict with students. Simultaneously relationship between teachers and students is democratic, solidarity, equality.The seventh chapter mainly discusses positive quality of Zhao Zongfu, including four parts in hard work and plain-living, honest and upright, decent style, and studious. Although he came from a rich family, he had progressive ideas and he never seeks for a high position, and worked for the Communist Party all his life. The students, teachers and every people who contacted with him had been educated by his excellent quality.The eighth chapter is the epilogue part.
