The Study On The Poetic Thoughts Of Zhong Xing’s "Qing Wu"

The school of Jing Ling is another influential school of literature after Gong An in the late Ming Dynasty. Zhong Xing is the most important author in the school. His creation in practice of literature and specific literary ideas decided the aesthetic taste and artistic standards of the entire school. So, only to study the Zhong Xing’s literature proposition forward, while we don’t take neglect of the other writers in Jing Ling, can we dig to a more profound grasp of the Jingling School’s literary thoughts. Zhong Xing’s literary views are reflected in his poetry."Qing" is the poetic proposition that Zhong Xing had already proposed in the early days, then its connotation continuously was enriched, and then developed into a mature poetic thought. The poetics thought and other important poetics viewpoints made in later are inextricably linked. It can be said that his many poetics thoughts made in later are developed on the basis of it. So the "Qing" occupies the important position throughout the jingling poetics theory system. In the foundation taking respect of the predecessor research, I try to make a systematic study and microscopic examination on Zhong Xing’s "Qing" from the perspective of ancient literary theory.The paper have four aspects:The one is the social background of "Qing"’s being proposed. That is to discuss the causes of "Qing"’s being proposed. First of all, the changes of social and political environment produces major effect on the individual psychology of authors, that is the indirect cause of "Qing"’s being proposed. Secondly, literature, the small environment influent by the social environment began to change too. Especially some critics on "Qing" influent directly Zhong Xing’s "Qing" From the above two aspects, we can see Zhong Xing’s "Qing" bred out in the specific era. It is Zhong Xing’s animal creation following the pace of literary development. The two is the origin in thought and connotation of "Qing" This is the key part of the paper. Firstly, tell the "Qing"’s origin in thought from two aspects the aesthetic thoughts and criticism.We can find the clue "Shang Qing" in traditional poetry from the two aspects. Secondly, tell the connotation of Zhong Xing "Qing" from the poetic Essence, poetic characteristics and aesthetic style. From the three aspects above, we can see "Qing" is a summary and further development for traditional poetics. The three tell the "Qing"’s use in the poetry criticism and creation. That reveal that the "Qing" has strong power in theoretical explanation and practical significance. Zhong Xing reviewed the poems with the aesthetic features of "Qing". He thought "Qing" could be said to be the true spirit of the ancient poet. He stressed the excellent poet must have the true spirit. This brought rancid breeze eliminating noise for poetry in late Ming. Though Zhong Xing’s achievement in poetry creation is far less than his poetics, some of his poems had a "glimpse", we can see his supreme ideal of poetry beauty-Qing. The four, Find the place of the "Qing" in Zhong Xing’s poetic theory system. This part put emphasis on the relations between "Qing Wu" and his other important poetics concepts,"Xingqing","Linghou","Youqingdanxu", and so on. This shows the "Qing" exists in the poetics system of Zhong Xing all the time, and become a link among Zhong Xing’s poetic concepts. On the premise of keeping its theory characteristics, we can see Zhong Xing’s "Qing", compared to his other poetic thoughts, is the more inclusive concept, which is in a core position in Zhong Xing’s poetics theory system.This also show its important value in Zhong Xing’s poetic theory.
