Currently the study of Arabic philosophy in China has not received enough attention. Research in many fields remains undone. For various reasons, many scholars know little about Arabic philosophy and have been unable to carry out in-depth studies of foreign culture in the Arab world. Ibn Sina is one of the great Arab philosophers and this research aims to help readers understand his philosophy and his influence on Islamic philosophy and culture. It provides a comprehensive presentation of his ideas, demonstrating his in-depth understanding of the Islamic world, looking at the particular roles of the religious, political, and cultural dimensions in society. This research provides an introduction to various aspects of his philosophy, including epistemology, mysticism, and the East-West links between the five aspects. More specifically, this includes looking at Ancient Greek philosophy (especially Aristotle and Plato’s idea about the existence of duality), the cosmology about the concept of the soul, rational theory, and the time concept introduced by Ibn Sina. In addition, the article details the social background of Ibn Sina’s life, and helps to understand the sources of his thought. The article also puts forward several unresolved problems, such as the four questions proposed to the reader about rational theory, and issues that have arisen in comparing his philosophical theories to those of Ancient Greece.
