Normal School Students is a very important group of higher education, theyhave set a more specific career goals before they go into the universities. They are thereserves for future teaching profession. The particularity of the career goals makeNormal School Students will have higher personal qualities and abilities. Only hasgood teacher professional、teaching skills and the extensively teaching knowledge canthey do the job well. All the qualities are inseparable from Art Education. ArtEducation not only can improve the humanities of Normal School Students, but alsocan improve their healthy and personality. It can help Normal School Studentsestablish good feelings、attitudes and values. And then make a benefit in their life. ThePublic Art Education in universities is an education for all students to improve theirartistic qualities. All Normal School Students have rights and opportunities to studypublic art curriculum.Because of the importance of The Public Art Education, Research on NormalUniversity Students studying public art curriculum becomes more important andsignificance.The subjects of this paper is the Normal School Students of Liaoning NormalUniversity、Shenyang Normal University、Henan Normal University、NanyangNormal University. Data Collection in the form of questionnaires and interviewsbased on the theory of Education and Art. This paper is divided into four parts:PartⅠIntroduction. Introduce the background and significance of the surveyand research methods, the definition of relevant concepts and related literature review.PartⅡThe value and significance of Normal School Students study public artcurriculum. In this section illustrates the characteristics of public art curriculum. Andthe necessary of Normal School Students study public art curriculum. Consider thatpublic art curriculum can improve Normal School Students’ overall quality、theknowledge structure、the culture of teacher personality and enhance quality of life.PartⅢ The Analysis of the current situation of public art curriculum. Relevantdata and information collected through questionnaires and interviews, find the problem of the public art curriculum in Normal Universities, and then analyze thereasons.PartⅣ The way to improve public art curriculum in Normal Universities. Thissection is the focus of this article, putting forward the content and methods of NormalUniversity Public Art Education teaching reform. Such as update concepts, enhancethe status of public art education, establish and improve the teaching of Public ArtEducation management system, enrich the teaching forms, expand the way of publicart educational, and prosperity the campus culture.
