Many recruits had never had exposures to barracks before they join the army. Lifein the army and the training will be important turning points in their lives. Ascontemporary young soldiers, new recruits have some particular psychologicalcharacteristics which are similar with the young generation at some respects, however,differences also exist. When enlisted in the army, some of them will have somepsychological excitability problems.If they fail to adapt to the new environment intime, these adjustment failures will easily lead to psychological and behavioralproblems, which may affect the construction of the army. Scholars from all over theworkd have worked on the psychological problems of soldiers, but when it comes tothe new recruits’ psychological excitability problems, related research is very limited.This study explores new recruits’ psychological excitability structure. It also providesStatistical analysis for the relationships between excitability structure and positivepsychological capital, in order to improve the level of mental health of young soldiersand provide data support for their physical and mental health.Based on analysis of a great deal of domestic and foreign information, we made aquestionnaire with open questions. As the research object, the structures of800recruits’ psychological stress are explored and validated.On the basis of the reseach,the relationship between recruits’ psychological stress and positive psychologicalcapital were discussed, the results are as follows:(1) The exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis showed thatthe structure of the psychological stress consists of interpersonal relationship, militarytraining, occupation career and the living environment. These four factors explain50.685%of total variable of the recruits’ psychological stress.In thisquestionnaire,the questionnaire empirical model agrees with the oretical conceptionand the structure is clear and reasonable. The questionnaire has good reliability andvalidity.(2) Gender in interpersonal relations and military training on the dimensions andthe total scores showed significant main effect, in the remaining dimensions of maineffect was not significant, which, in interpersonal relations and military trainingdimension and the total score, female scores were significantly higher than that of male soldiers; only children and education on psychological stress of each dimensionand total scores on the main effects were not significant; The interaction of gender andculture, gender and only child, culture degree and only children and sex, culturedegree, only child three interaction was not significant.(3)The recruits’ psychological stress has negative correlation with positivepsychological capital significantly. The four factors of positive psychological capitalhave negative forecast effect on the psychological stress and the joint variable is60.9%.
