| Since the detective novels became popular, many detective stories were adapted into a movie or TV works especially the typical one "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes". Particularly form the end of20Century to21Century, filming of the detective novels becomes bolder, and more breakthroughs in their entirety. The article compara and analyse the "Holmes series" from the trends of screen adaptations, structure characteristics, and criminal behavior, with the new features of detective film adaptation in21Century.This article first combs "Holmes series" novel’s film history, and comparas with the adapted works before twenty-first Century and after it, generally summarizes three new trends of "integrate the content","complect the cue" and "image the mental". Acc ording to the general structure of detective story, classify the "Holmes series" film and television works with different story structure. With the open structure analysis, summed up the new characteristic that adaptation became indefinite since21Century. With the closed structure analysis, summed up the new characteristic that the modes of ratiocination convert from three section type progress to multi-level propulsion. Further according to the classification of different way of criminal behavior, summed up tne new characteristic that the fator of ratiocination differentiate extremely since21Century from the analysis of ordinary crime.From the analysis of the works in the form of "impossible crime", summed up the three new characteristic that "impossible cases" are continuous, to be the story’s "guiding case" and involved the open structure of story.Currently, the proportion of the genre novel’s film adaptation study in the whole film studies is small, especially for the detective novel and its film adaptation studies. Most researches are based on the literary image, social background and social effect, very few are directed against the own unique characteristics of the detective work.The domestic researches for detective film adaptation is almost blank, this paper hope to made some breakthroughs in this field. |
