Walter.piston,the 20th century famous composer, music theorists, music educator. His theory works in all over the world have broad impact. Walter.piston has had from exploring teacher, own also produced many famous student, he also is known as "the composer composer". So Walter.piston in music history has an important position. This paper intends to his "Three New England sketchs", can find some monarch’s writing technique, and the creative characteristics.This paper, from the "time domain" and "pitch domain" two aspects elaborated the three songs of artistic techniques and characteristics.
