The national image in the interaction between nation and the global environment under the multiple contexts—film propagation is the process for definition and cognition of remodeling and building the state image. It is particularly important for a developing country to construct and spread the national image through film propagation. Movies are always the name cards for modern countries and also the main manifestation of cultural soft power of a nation. The world usually takes movies as a significant impression mark to understand a country. After the reform and opening-up, Chinese movies have won many international awards and have improved the status internationally. However, they also in certain degree effected the impression and cognition of China for the world. The effect on the national image and national safety of China can’t be underestimated. The works of the fifth and sixth generation of the directors in China adopts symbolism to show the close and backwardness of ancient china or start with eulogizing the traditional and national vitality. They are from dominant culture to marginal culture or from unreal prosperity to the cruel reality. One kind of marginal culture was born from dominant society to marginal society. Their value is conflict and different from the dominant values, from which reveals its special theory research value.
