The generation of post-80s grows up almost simultaneously with the establishment and development of Chinese market economic system. The establishment of market economy brings about the social prosperity. Meanwhile, the resulting social transformation also brings a great living pressure on these young people."Post-80s" refers to people born between1980and1989and is a group who now concerns employment and marriage most. Since they first step into the society and are in marriageable stage,"marriage" is seen as an event through which one can peep their culture and values. This paper mainly focuses on the marriage status of post-80s, especially the "Naked Wedding" closely related to this generation. As a new marriage culture,"Naked Wedding" refers to a marriage mode that young people get married only by registration, without buying an apartment, a car or even without a wedding ceremony. With the hit TV drama "Naked Wedding" broadcast on screen in2011,"Naked Wedding" has become a hot topic among many audiences and netizens.This paper adopts on the theory by a master on British culture study, Raymond Williams. By taking the marriage culture of post-80s as the subject and the TV drama "Naked Wedding" as the object. It attempts to establish a perception structure for the marriage culture of post-80s through analyzing this drama. Today, TV dramas have become one of the Medias which can fully reflect the contemporary reality. Although it is still a question whether this drama reflect the exact marriage status of post-80s, how the post-80s audiences accept and interpret this drama has become a more important question for people studying the TV Representation and thus needs investigation. This paper aims at exploring how the drama "Naked Wedding" reproduces the marriage culture of post-80s and the Naked Wedding phenomenon, with a particular focus on the perception of post-80s audiences and the investigation of explanation of relationship between the Representation of TV drama text and its audiences. The explanation of relationship shows a new change of the subjectivity in the mass culture, in which audiences are not the same audiences as before. Their consumption of TV dramas features with an active participation rather than a passive role. Instead of simply watching TV dramas, they interpret them from their own view and communicate their opinions and ideas with others through internet. Today, TV drama is no longer an advertising media or approach. It has developed into a new platform for mutual communication between text content and audiences.
