There is population migration phenomenon in ancient times. Inagricultural society, population migration is small-scale. It is amigration that from narrow soil of few people to large soil. Inindustrial society, especially in the era of economic globalization,scale of population migration is expanding and internationalmigration is ceaselessly appear. Migration for a country ofeconomic and social development had a profound impact. There isnot yet specialized research and articles on the Egyptian populationmigration. Based on previous theoretical studies, English data anddomestic information, this subject make a preliminary exploration.In addition to the introduction and conclusion, the article is dividedinto three parts discussed.Preamble describes the value of the subject, defines the concept ofpopulation migration, discern links and differences for migration,mobility and mobile.Body is divided into three parts.The first section describes the major Western population migrationtheory and the migration of the population of Egypt research. On thisbasis, it advanced the basic idea. The part of population migrationtheory included the theory of domestic and international. Domesticpart are the "push-pull" theory, the development economics of population migration theory and“population mobility transitionhypothesis”. Mainly described by the international part of theneo-classical economics, new economics of migration, dual labormarket theory and world system theory and so on. Foreign academicstudy of the Egyptian population migration is an early start. Researchresults and more from specialized research centers, for exampleAmerican University in Cairo, so the data is more abundant. Domesticresearch focuses on two aspects of the situation of populationmigration theory and China’s population migration.The second part discusses the Egyptian domestic migration. In theEgyptian domestic migration, a main feature is the populationmigration from rural areas to big cities such as Cairo and Alexandria.So this paper mainly studies the Egyptian rural-urban migration.Article described the Egyptian rural-urban migration on the basis ofthe history and current situation,exerting the Everetts·Lee’s theoryof“push-pull”, Lewis’s "dual structure" development model,Todaro’s“expectations of income "theory, analysis of Egyptian ruralpopulation migrated to the city’s reasons. And analysis thesignificance of this migration to alleviate rural poverty. Ruralpopulation into cities has brought to the city over urbanization andresulting ashwaiyyat issues.The third part discusses the Egyptian international migration, is thefocus of this study. It divide the international emigration andinternational immigration. There is three types of internationalpopulation migration, that is, permanent migration, temporarymigration and illegal migration. From Sadat implement openingpolicy, Egypt’s labor export has become the focus of population migration. Labor export is an important part of the temporarypopulation migration. So the temporary international migration isthe primary focus. Including migration history and present situation,migration reasons and influencing factors. In immigration, Thearticle introduce the main of international refugee life in Egypt.These refugees communities are Sudanese refugees, Palestinianrefugees, Iraqi refugees, Somali refugees , Ethiopian and Eritreanrefugees. Based on the overall elaboration of internationalmigration, analyze the positive and negative effects of internationalmigration on Egypt and the immigrants the country’s economic andsocial. This part is the paper’s focus. Remittances increase Egypt’sforeign exchange and investment capacity, alleviate the ruralpoverty in Egypt, but international migration exacerbated by Egyptbrain drain. For Immigrant receiving countries, internationalmigration increase the country’s human resources, make up anational labor shortage and promote its economic development. ButGulf countries over-reliance on foreign labor, detrimental to theirlong-term economic and social development.The conclusion part, a brief review of these chapters at the sametime, pointed out the lack of understanding and articles obtained inthe course of the study.The study tries to show the overall situation of the Egyptianpopulation migration. In addition, focus on exploring the causes andeffects of population migration. The innovation of this paper is anovel topics. The combination of comprehensive analysis and focuson exploring. Through research, recognizing the important impactof the Egyptian population, migration of its economic and social and immigrant receiving countries.
