The Comparison Between "Practical Chinese Of Traditional Chinese Medicine" And "A Chinese Course For Chinese Medicine Majors"

For the foreign students in the Traditional Chinese Medical colleges, one good Chinese textbook is important. However, only two kinds of the officially published Chinese textbooks for those students can be found at present—"A Chinese Course for Chinese Medicine Majors" and "Practical Chinese of Traditional Chinese Medicine". I do my best to provide the proposals for teaching in the future and collect data for compiling a new one or E-textbooks through my research.This paper is a summary of my research. By comparisons with the concepts of compiling, the themes, the difficulties of text, the vocabularies, the grammar and so on to discuss which pattern is better between the two kinds of Chinese materials. The method is analyzing the statistical data from the sampling ones which leads to the relevant proposals.The special purpose of this research is different from the previous research through case studying in both Chinese language and Traditional Chinese Medicine fields because of the writer’s special education background, though, the case is just a single sample.The obvious disadvantage factor is the lack of practice for "Practical Chinese of Traditional Chinese Medicine", so that there is no way either to compare the validity of these two textbooks or collecting the dynamic information. I hope to do the comparative study of the dynamic information after using "Practical Chinese of Traditional Chinese Medicine " in the future.
