In the development tendency of the economic globalization, the cooperation and competition between countries in the word are becoming more and more frequent. With the fast development of economic and technology, culture is bestowed with deeper meanings. Culture economic has become an essential part of overall strength of a country and its impact can not be ignored. As a newly-emerging rising sun industry, the cultural industry has become an important national strategy for many countries and culture trade is reaching a new growth in the national trade. However, compared to some developed countries with rich experience in the culture trade, the production n marketing and export of cultural goods and services in China are on weak ground and lag behind, which can not match up with a country with abundant cultural resources and long history.Starting with the definition of the "culture trade", the thesis introduces the classification and features of the culture trade in the second part. The third part discusses the culture trade development of our country. By using "export market share、balance of trade、trade competitive index and revealed comparative advantage index" as statistic standards, the author compares China’s international competitiveness of publication industry and film industry to other countries’in the word and introduces different developing models of the USA、France、Japa、Korea and China in the animation industry. Using the SWOT analysis method, the thesis discuses the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and weakness on China’s cultural trade. China has the advantages depending on the favorable factors of long histories, social inclusion, huge consuming market, promoting policy and stable development momentum. However, the drawbacks still exit such as low technology, lacking rules, culture discount.Through the analysis above, some useful suggestions which include policy、production、 marketing and talents are put forward to promote the development of China’s cultural trade.
