Research On Public Art Design In Tourist Attractions Of Qiang

Since "5-12" Wenchuan earthquake in2008, the post-disaster reconstruction of Sichuan subject to the concerns of the community. Among them, the planning and construction of the Qiang tourist attractions is an important task in post-disaster reconstruction of Sichuan. Qiang is an ancient and mysterious nation, with the post-disaster reconstruction as an opportunity to develop tourist attractions and to develop the Qiang tourism industry, which is beneficial to the local social and economic development, and also is beneficial to develop the national culture of Qiang in the new period.In the research method, I choose Buwa Village in Wenchuan County as a case and the main research object in this thesis. In the Buwa Village, I inspect the geographical environment, the history and culture, the traditional folk and etc. On this basis, I plan and design the tourist attractions as a "Qiang Castle Kingdom" in Buwa Village. Around the theme of "Qiang Castle Kingdom", the tourist attraction in Buwa Village is divided into several regional with themes. I design a series of public art works in each regional. In numerous public art works, I choose "the civilization of the cloud" and "the wisdom of the water" as a case, expounding the design process of public art of tourist attraction in Buwa Village, and summing up the important role of public art in the tourism attraction.At the same time, I investigation and research on each tourist attraction in the Qiang area, and overview the development status of tourist attraction in Qiang, than study in all the public art in the different tourist attractions. Finally, I summarize the basic features in public art’s development in the tourist attraction of Qiang.Comprehensive considering all the public art works of the Buwa Village and other villages in Qiang, this thesis summarizes the public art’s design in the tourist attraction of Qiang. We must fully consider the Qiang people’s culture, respect the national special traditional culture, and keep strong national and local characteristics when rebuilding the tourism attractions of Qiang, assure the Qiang people’s development in future. Designing public art works in the tourist attraction will also follow these principles, mining and using the Qiang people’s culture in design, making the art works into the tourism attractions.
