The Study Of China-made Film Sequels In The New Century

Since the new century,especially after implementing the film industry strategy andspeeding up the cooperation with Hong Kong,many new phenomenon happened in Chinesefilm market,the film sequels is one of them.The number is increasing year by year andappeared explosive trend in2010and2011.But,at the same time,the study of China-madefilm sequels in the new century obviously lagged the pace of development of the film.The main text is divided into four chapters,the first chapter reviews the tradition of theearly mainland and Hong Kong film sequels from a historical perspective,it aims toprovide a historical reference for the development of the current domestic film sequels.Thesecond and third chapters divide the film sequels into the linear structure and circularstructure according to the film structure,starting from the substance of the filmsequels.Some domestic film sequels which are representative and influential in the newcentury are analyzed by “text” read in these two chapters.And they also summarize thesuccess or failure of these films in order to provide some reference to the domestic filmsequels,starting from the artistic and commercial dimensions.The fourth chaptersummarizes the present status of the domestic film sequels which is losing on the road ofcommercialization,and reiterates the importance of the balance between commerce and art.
