After ten years of development, the higher vocational education in the field of highereducation occupies a larger proportion. The development of higher vocational education toEnglish teaching has brought a series of challenges. English course in higher vocationalcolleges is the important courses, but students of basic English, forging the futureapplication talented person’s important tool. On employment oriented talent cultivationstructure, English is essential to the connecting portion, however now most highervocational English as isolated public basic course, no professional connection, when thestudents graduate and enter the work,they are difficult to quickly apply English. Therefore,higher vocational English courses in higher vocational colleges should adapt to thedevelopment needs of students, we must study on its rationality.Courses are the core areas in the higher vocational education. Higher educationoccupation ideological change and higher occupation education reform to be put into othercourses. This article attempts from the school English curriculum‘s actual setting,combines higher vocational curriculum theory, to the school English curriculum rationalitystudy.In this paper, the first part is the introduction, including research background, theliterature review, research goal and the significance, main contents and methods ofresearch, the definition of related concepts; the first chapter is the theoretical basis andresearch, through to the curriculum theory and College English curriculum study, thispaper provides a theoretical basis for; the second chapter for the Suzhou TOP Vocational College of Information Technology English curriculum, including various professionalmodule university English class, English curriculum, and teaching staff; the third chapter isthe Suzhou TOP Vocational College of Information Technology English curriculumresearch, includes a questionnaire and interviews, analysis of unreasonable and reasons,reasonable facts, unreasonable facts (problems) as well as improvements; the forthchapter includes the research suggestion and the present deficiencies of this study.
