A Study On The Tragic Awareness In Sunli’s Later Works

The style of Sunli’s early works filled with the beauty of humanity was tranquil and natural,which is prominently manifested in his Sino—Japanese War novels.This is very important. However, after20years when he stopped writing,he re-writing after the Cultural Revolution. The style transformed to sharp and depressed after the Cultural Revolution. He criticized this political movement and pondered the human nature, and his works showed the feelings of compassion and tragic awareness. His tragic awareness was in keeping with the theme of mainstream literature which was paying attention to reality, individuals and groups.The tragic awareness in Sunli’s later works is the emotion that he concerned for the people and the country. Through describing the tragedy life of the Intellectuals and poor people and analyzing about the history, present situation and future, he tried his best to explain the tragedy sense produced in the conflict between the ideal and the reality,and between tradition and modern times.In my thesis, I will use this method,that is the reflection of life to study<Yun-zhai Novel>. My purpose is investigate the sense of tragedy of humanism in this world and text word of Sun Li’world.Apart from the introduction and conclusion,this paper consistis of three parts:In part1, I will Interpretation the causes of tragic awareness in the later works of Sunli. Based on Sun Li’s emotional and traditional culture, and restore the data, purpose is analysis his Tragic consciousness when after the ten years catastrophe. And after the"broken awareness" become strengthen,then analysis the causes of tragic awareness in Sunli’s composition.In part2, I will analysis the tragedy theme of Sunli’s later works in detail and recapitulate the tragedy awareness from three themes which are homesickness, the life of the masses and the misfortune of the intellectual. In the analysis process, I will focus on how Sunli took care of the whole humanity. Style Pathetique reflects the writer thinking about the value of life. Express some intense sense of social responsibility and life mission of a revolutionary.In part3,I will analyze the deep meaning of the tragic awareness. I’ll try to explore and interpret the tragic awareness in Sunli’s later works.Such as the conflict between the human and the nature, the conflict between people and society, and the conflict between people and their own. First aspect, the conflict between the human and the nature,that is writer’s cultural anxiety and political anxiety. Second, the conflict between people and society, writer worry about the people’s living environment,rexeal the environmental protection in advance. At last, the conflict between people and their own, reveal the Physiological limitation—weak and evil in human nature, conveying Sunli’s serious thought upon humanity and the call for a health one.
