Toni Morrison is the most famous and important African-American woman writer and the first African-American writer who won the Nobel Literature Prize. The theme of her works is mainly about the history, fate and spiritual world of the black. Her courage, personality, viewpoint and writing style of melodious, impressive and poetic have brought her splendid academic achievements and worldwide recognition. Song of Solomon, published in 1977, is the third novel of Toni Morrison. It is one of the important works of Toni Morrison among the American literary arena. Meanwhile the work consolidated her position in American literary history, made her one of the greatest contemporary American writer.The tragedy is one basic morphology of human aesthetic activities, and formation of the concept is inevitable result of human survival and development.
