The grievous famine which occurred in the late50’s and early60’s of20th century is especially lived a nightmare in our country. In this paper, by reading the texts about the famine which had been written in1980’s and1990’s, I get its rich meaning:the novels in1980’s are like to digging out the grandeur of humanity through narrated the difficulty years of famine. In these texts, the writers always intended to prettify the trials of famine. Although they were showing cruel history and try to figure out the basic cause of famine, choosing the theory of ethics judgement is obstructing the evil of famine in some ways; When its came to1990’s, with a heavy sense of history intellectuals and writers made a fresh sight about this suffering days. Compare with the80’s, they were concerned about the hunger itself, and put the facts out, distorted spirit and ugly human qualities had been quite notable, after that, they still make an attempt at figure out the possibility whether should we save ourselves out of suffering with kindness.This article is divided into four parts:in the preliminary remarks, I would like to introduce the real history of the great famine and the hunger research situation, in the section three, we analysis of the text of appearance of famineIn the chapter two it is the interpretation of hunger writing in90’s of20th century, we summarized four characteristics feature:with the aid of cruel history, they propagate the sprite of humanitarianism; in these hunger writings, the writers were always intend to prettify the trials of famine; with the political environmental limited, they have to use the theory of ethics judgement to explain the root source of the great famine.
