Stage visual communication design is the research object of this paper. As a multi-disciplinaryintersection of art, research on the elements of stage vision with communication theory and researchmethods has received much attention. However, as a special visual language, stage vision is not a majorconcern of visual communication study. In other words, from the perspective of visual communicationstudy, stage vision is still not its focus and, to some extent, is even the blind spot of its related research.Therefore, the combination and comparison of communication, visual communication design and stagevision will change the perspective of previous studies and lead to the overall research of stage visualcommunication.In this paper, first of all, the concept of entertainment performance and stage visual communicationhas been defined to make clear the characteristics of stage visual communication in entertainmentperformance—a panoramic imitation reproduction; that is, a three-dimensional, mobile, interactive,co-existent, dependent, independent, creative and symbiotic form of visual communication.Then, compositional elements of stage visual communication has been described in detail and, from afew angles, the analysis of efficiency factors of stage visual communication in entertainment performanceis done; moreover, comparative analysis of the difference between stage visual communication andtraditional stage art is narrated.Finally, based on the previous studies, basic creation principles and suggestions on effective publicityof stage visual communication have been put forward. The active reflection on the expansion of stagevisual communication may contribute to the guide and regulation of its practice and, even call for moreattention to this specific subject.
