His Fortress Besieged known as the "New Scholars", the whole novel has a witty and humorousstyle, and the humor of Fortress Besieged means the humor of its language, which stems from thesuccessful and flexible use of various grammatical means such as voice, rhetoric, idioms, as well as variouspragmatic principles in the work. Many people study on the language of Fortress Besieged, but they mostlystart with one aspect to analyze its language humor. The author of this paper attempts to systematicallysummarize the reason of humorous language in Fortress Besieged based on the description of languagehumor types exist in the whole work, and on this basis, further to sum up the features of humor language inFortress Besieged.The paper is divided into introduction, main body and conclusion. The introduction in detailintroduces the history and current status of the humor study at home and abroad, the overview of languagestudies of Fortress Besieged, and the study contents and methods, innovations and corpus sources of thispaper.
