This paper, based on all of the Hardy novels, tries to discuss the formation and the significance of his novel’s form skills.The introduction of this paper makes clear of the Hardy’s biography, creating background, and all of the novel works and main poetry. Then summarize the important achievements abroad and domestic about Hardy novels.The first chapter analyzes the formation and main features of Hardy novels’ form. From the first, by analyzing " The Poor Man and the Lady "," Desperate Remedies "," Under the Greenwood Tree "," Far from the Madding Crowd ",we inspect the tendentiousness in the plot structure model at the beginning of Hardy’s writing. That is in close contact with drama form, in the characters and the dramatic story plot, thus to win the market. Then sum up the tragic features of the plot of Hardy novels. This tragic feature shows irony in modern view.The second chapter discusses Hardy’s destiny view and the plot of the novel design. By analyzing " Tess of the d’Urbervilles "and " Jude the Obscure ", we argue that Hardy is a highly conscious creator on the fate, and he regard the fate of human and universal as a mission in novel creation. At the same time, he put his own destiny view into the structure of the novel plot. This makes the plot of the novel design everywhere around the clues of changed destiny, and resort to strong emotions, in the whole novel style formed a kind of lofty and stirring narrative effect.The third chapter discusses Hardy novels’"soliloquy" nature. At the end of the century, Hardy is stick with art for life, for human destiny. This show a reverence and stirring strength, at the same time bring inevitable loss to his novel art.
