Abstract/Summary:
No matter in second language acquisition or in teaching of it, the emotional factors are very important, even we can use emotional factors to promote the teaching of second language. In this paper, the author tried to analyze the important role of emotional factors in second language acquisition from three factors: learning motivation, learning attitude and learners’characters. And the author tried to apply the emotional factors’important role in second language acquisition to the teaching Chinese as a foreign language, targeted propose some useful suggestions and methods for teaching Chinese as a foreign language with using emotional factors.The author tried to analyze different four learning motivations and to emphasize learning motivation’s important role in second language acquisition by the questionnaire about the motivation of learning Chinese of foreign students. The author analyzed the important role of learning attitude and learner’s character in second language acquisition by the interviews about that some Chinese students’experience of learning English and some foreign students’experience of learning Chinese.According to the analysis about three emotional factors, the author suggested the teachers of teaching Chinese as a foreign language should use learners’emotional factors from these three facts:Exciting learners’all kinds of learning motivation; Doing something to help learners bring up positive learning attitude; For individualized personality, using the corresponding teaching methods, overcoming the adverse personality factors.
