A Study On The Frontier Thoughts In The Early Stage Of Western Han Dynasty

At present, little attention is paid to the frontier thoughts on Western Han Dynasty,thus studies are also few. However, the borderland thought of Western Han Dynasty inherited from that of Pre-Qin Dynasty,which also has great influence on the later ages. Based on the view of the changing of comprehensive national strength of our country,the article will analysis the development process on the frontier thoughts in the early Western Han Dynasty, in order to explore the comprehensive national strength of country’s frontier policy, thus exploring the effect of the early Western Han Dynasty and the frontier of Chinese management on the formation of the unified multinational country, and the influence on the later dynasties.The full text is divided into five parts:The introduction part mainly discusses the significance of the study on the thought of Chinese frontier problem, current research situation and relevant research content. The first chapter is " the early years of the Republic and Introduction of Heqin thoughts." Firstly,a briefly introduction on the early years of the Western Han Dynasty’s frontier situation, and then expounds and ideological the causes, content and the role and significance of the Heqin thoughts.The second chapter is "the national power being stronger and the rise of Conquest thoughts."Although the Heqin policy has been implemented by the Emperor of Western Han Dynasty, the the frontier of Western Han Dynasty still suffered from by the Huns’ infestation, so the rise of Conquest thoughts appeared from the internal of Western Han Dynasty.The third chapter is " the national power being strongest and the production of Surrender thoughts. " Emperor Wudi of Han Dynasty, by virtue of the early decades of development and the strong power to recuperate and build up strength, such as when the mass ethnic frontier, and a large number of open the border counties unprecedented expansion of the Han Dynasty territory. Due to the continuous military victory, Surrender thoughts appeared from the internal of Western Han Dynasty.The fourth chapter is " the national power has been declined and the budding of Jimi thoughts." Because of the long -term and large-scale external forces in the period of Emperor Wudi of Han Dynasty, national power dropped greatly and people lived in destitution; and at the same time the Huns was also suffered heavy losses due to the army continued to fight, then they were unable to organize large-scale infestation to the frontier of the Western Han Dynasty. Therefore in the inner of Han Dynasty appeared the Jimi thoughts.The fifth chapter is the conclusion, via analyzing the frontier thoughts of the early Western Han Dynasty, we think these were the development of Pre-Qin Dynasty, which also produced a benchmark of effect on the later dynasties. We think the early Western Han Dynasty’s frontier thoughts is the initial formation of Chinese unified multi-ethnic country frontier thoughts.
