| After six years of primary school life, students are more likely to establish afixed interpersonal circle, a close relationship with their peers. They say goodbye tothe familiar primary school, stepping into secondary school. Facing new teachers, newenvironment, new curriculum, the junior middle school students are full of hope andconfusion; they feel fresh and confused. In the face of the new classmate, manystudents are full of eager, and are plagued by a kind of unspeakable cautious mood.Although most of the students are familiar with each other, some students especiallythe introverted students still are not able to open themselves actively. Classmaterelationship are indifferent. They are easy to produce depressed, anxious or upsetmood.To help students establish good relationship between the classmate, namely peerrelationship is very important. Many factors influence peer relations of the first gradejunior middle school students, such as distance, similarity, need complementary eachother, emotional factors, the frequency of exchanges . The relationship betweenstudents is one of the factors that affect the healthy development of the junior middleschool students.Group counseling is especially suitable for students. Because the students havethe tendency of community. Students often form small groups, learning and playingtogether. They are very concerned about evaluation and attitude of the companion.They are easy to tell their friends about their trouble and are easily influenced by theirfriends. Group counseling can create a safe atmosphere for the exchange of peer .Sixgroup counseling, through interactive activities, observation, imitation, sharing ofexperiences and feelings of members, enable students self-exploration, self-education,.So they get a kind of sense among peers and establish a good peer relationships. This article is divided into three parts:The first part is literature review and question. The first paper describes themeaning, types, aracteristics of peer relationships and the theoretical basis of peerrelationships.Then this paper elaborates the definition of group counseling, theoreticalfoundation and the characteristics of the group counseling. Finally, this paperexpounds the background and significance of the topic.The second par is the counseling program. From the survey, plan implementation,data processing, analysis and discussion of several aspects. The six times groupcounseling make everybody mutual understanding, mutual trust, to develop someactivities to make everyone mutual understanding, mutual trust, so as to establish agood relationship of the students.The third part is a summary and prospect. It expounds the peer relationship ofjunior middle school students to adapt to the importance of school life. Groupcounseling, as a new form of psychological counseling, create a safe and warmatmosphere for students and make participants to know himself and peer, improvingthe peer relationship.
