Nowadays, there are a lot of study on the ORE in face-recognition, that is, it iseasier to identify and recognize faces in the same ethnic group than different ones.Different researchers applying different paradigms and unfamiliar dependentvariables, all hold that the ORE is stable. We use the“learning-recognition”paradigm to explore the different contact levels Uygur and Han subjects’achievement on the different race face recognition. There are two experiments in total. The first research is to see the differentlearning-levels’ affect the ORE. During the learning phase, we applies35ms、55ms、75ms、95ms and1000ms five learning times, under this condition, we want toexplore the subjects’ face recognition ability to know under which time the subjectscan distinguish the learned face from the new one. At the same time, to detect thesubjects’ ability on the other race face and own race face recognition. The otherresearch, which is in the same experiment materials and experimental conditions, isto see the personal information effect on ORE. The two experiments share the samedependent variables, the signal resolution index d’. Through the experimental resultswe want to explore whether the processing level theory could explain the ORE or not.Integrate the researches, the main findings are:(1)Within75ms learning phase, the low contact Uygur subjects could betterdistinguish Uygur face materials than the Han’s, the ORE appeared.(2)The low contact Han in the95ms learning time can recognize the Han facebetter than the Uygur face, we can detect the ORE.(3)As the learning time rise, the subjects’ ability on face recognition isimproved. Under full study time and involve the personal information circumstance, all of the subjects are able to identify different race face material.(4)In the case of complete learning, the personal information not involvedsituation, all the subjects can recognize the learned face very well. And the highcontact Uygur subjects recognize the Han race face better.(5)The levels processing theory can explain the ORE at some extent.
