Lu Min’s urban novels reflect the survival status of the people in the cities andreflect the spirit lost of the people in cities from multi-angles. This paper, startingfrom the reality, being faithful to one’s inner feelings is going to have an interpretationof Lu Min’s urban literature. The paper includes three parts: the lost in cities, theawareness of urban redemption and the narrative strategies and shows the uniquenessof his urban literature. The author is going to accurately sum up the achievements ofLu Min’s urban literature.There are three chapters in this paper. In the first chapter, the lostness ispresented. The difficulties in surviving will also be analyzed. The second chapter ismainly about salvation. First of all, the people in her works gain a sense of salvationby themselves after they lost themselves. Through the set up of the plot anddescription of the figures, the author of this paper is going to analyze Lu Min’s idealurban life and living status. In the end, the cultural mentality is going to be analyzed,which is caused by the struggle between the tradition and modernity. The third chapteris about the narrative features, including the set of character relations, the rhetoricalstrategies of irony, the description of details. This will help us to understand thenarrative of Lu Min’s and the cultural spirit of her works.There are rich meanings and unique aesthetic features in Lu Min’s urbanliterature. We can have a better understanding of the lost and salvation from the studyof her works and grasp the pulse of contemporary spirit development in modernsociety. Of course, as a cutting-edge writer, some flaws and defects can not be ignored.This paper will sum up her achievement and insist on an objective approach to theanalysis of her urban creation so that she could gain an objective evaluate.
