Textbook is the foundation of teaching, the quality of textbooks isnot only related to the students’ learning effect but also to the teachingquality. The course of Introduction to China, has been taken anindispensable position on teaching Chinese as second language. Theforeign students will learn more cultural background knowledge of Chinathrough the course and reduce communicative obstacles. There are fewtextbooks of Introduction to China, and so far, we haven’t found thearticles about comparative study on them. So, this paper selects the threetextbooks as research objects, Xia Ziqiang (1996), Wang Shunhong (2003)and Xiao Li (2009), tries to make comparative study from objects oftextbooks, stylistic rules and layout, the contents of textbooks andexercises design of textbooks, then summarizes the shortages. At last,it puts forward some referential suggestions based on analyzingquestionnaire.
