Research On Religious Nationalism And Its Impact On Social Development In Xinjiang

Religion and nation are two different social phenomenons, which result fromHuman society historical development. They belong to different categories, havingclear distinction, but they are related and inclusive each other. Religious nationalismis an important content in Five Specialties of Religion. Xinjiang is a region wherelots of nations live together and a variety of religion coexist，religious nationalism isquite prominent in here. It makes an important impact on social development andstability, and constructing Harmonious society.The Marx nationalism， religioustheory and scientific outlook on development as the guidance in this paper， theauthor studies on ethnicity-related issues of religion and its impact on socialdevelopment in Xinjiang by literature methods， historical research methods， onthe basis of extensive reading， and puts forward the innovative viewpoint andthinking.Based on expounding and analyzing the definition of the religion and nation，and relationship between them，the author presents religion and nation are different，not equal， also not to be confused with. A nation in the different historical periodsmay have different religious beliefs， at the same time also may believe in two ormore than two kinds of religion. But religion and nation are related， no nation is noreligious belief. The relationship between religion and nation is not only differenteach other， but also related each other， and thus shows religious nationalism.Religious nationalism is the religious and nation characteristics of interconnected，dialectical unity. According to resulting condition’s investigation and analysis of theformation of religious nationalism， the author proposes it not only is subject to thenatural environment the nation lived， but also is related closely with socialenvironment.Religion generates in the nation’s social life， and plays an importantrole in the national formation and development. Based on the investigation andanalysis of current situation of Xinjiang nation and religious belief， the author risesXinjiang is a region where lots of nations live together and a variety of religioncoexist， religious nationalism is quite prominent， national and religious issues areoften intertwined， it must have a clear cognition， mustn’t be confused. At last theauthor puts forward suggestions and countermeasures of the Xinjiang national andreligious work， according to Xingjian’s national and religious status’ analysis andreligious nationalism characteristics’ specific performance.
