Chinese Film Criticism Study For The First Decade In The21^st Century （2001-2010）

In the21stcentury, with the rapid development of the Chinese filmindustry, film criticism has made considerable progress. A group ofrepresentative of film criticism books has been published. Internet filmcriticism and other kinds of new film criticism have brought fresh blood tocritics. Not only the methods of film critics become more diverse, also thevisions become more open. However, the Chinese film critics are facingenormous difficulties and challenges over the past decade. Compared tothe diversified development of film-making, film reviews have beenshowing a trend of being marginalized. The ecological description, studies,outlook expectations of film criticism for the first decade in the21stcentury are not only the unavoidable task of the film critics, but also theown request of the rapid development of Chinese films.Based on the combination of communication, literary theory, science,psychology and other related disciplines, this paper integrates literaturemethod, case analysis and other research methods as comparative study.First part is a general discussion of the backgrounds and current situationfor Chinese Film Criticism Study in the First Decade,21st Century,followed by the new characters, including the rising of internet filmcriticism, the development of TV film critic programs and the influence ofthe video film criticism. After that comes the “achievements analysis" and"problems," both positive and negative aspects of film criticism. Last butthe least, the paper makes some expectations for the "self-construction"and "external breakout" for the future development of he film criticism. It is my sincere hope that the above researches could possibly provide somereference for the development directions of Chinese Film Criticism.
