Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Chronic Prostatitis With Huangbai Capsule

Objective:To verify the therapeutic effectiveness,safety and mechanism of huangbai capsule through clinical trial.Methods:This study was designed as a double-blind, randomized, controlled clinical trial,80 patients were randomly divided into huangbai group(treatment group) and Levofloxacin group(control group). the former was treated with huangbai capsule,and the latter with Levofloxacin capsule for a month.Before and after treatment, to measure TCM symptpm grading quantitative score, Clinical Evaluation,NIH-CPSI score,SCL-90 score, EPS-WBC, Lecithin body, IL-6 respectively.Results:Before treatment, to compare general situation of the treatment group with that of the control group, there was no statistic significance. Sum of Chronic Prostatitis’s symptom Grading quantitative score in treatment group was 28.38±9.3 and 12.05±6.03 respectively before and after treatment(P<0.01). In control group, that was 31.18±7.31and 16.45±7.56 respectively(P<0.01). the comparison of scores of two groups were statistic significance(P<0.01).after treatment, the comparison between therapeutic effectiveness of two groups was statistic significance(P<0.01).the comparison between NIH-CPSI score of two was statistic significance(P<0.01). the comparison between SCL-90 score of two was statistic significance(P<0.05). the comparison between EPS-WBC of two was statistic significance(P<0.01); the comparison between Lecithin body of two was statistic significance(P<0.01). the comparison between IL-6 of two was statistic significance(P<0.05).Conclusion:Treatment of chronic prostatitis with huangbai capsule is safe and effective.
