PurposeCerebral palsy(CP) is a serious harm to children’s physical and mental health of normal diseases. With the improvement of medical technology progress and neonatal rescue, the incidence of CP is increasing gradually. CP is not only seriously affecting children’s physical and mental development and quality of life, a great deal of mental stress and a heavy economic burden to families and society, but also seriously affecting the quality of the population in the province to improve the implementation of the basic national policy of family planning. Unfortunately still no country has been able to establish a government monitoring agency, to keep abreast of reported CP incidence and control the situation. Abroad investigation and analysis think that live births from the incidence of CP is2-3‰.Henan, as one largest population in China, there is no CP incidence of accurate data and epidemiological data, no preventive measures and prevention guide.Through the cerebral palsy epidemiological investigation, we can figure out the rate of CP and establish related information database.we can screen of children with CP, then, in order to improve their quality of life and the ability of adapting to society, we can make early intervention and rehabilitation.Through that the children can alleviate the disability and return to society, then create value.Through this issue, we can popularize CP prevention knowledge, then provide the basis for the government to develop cerebral palsy related support policies.Early intervention with CP often obtain good effect. Therefore in order to control and reduction of the birth of children with cerebral palsy, the development of prevention and screening, interventions are playing an important role in alleviating the children with families, social spiritual and economic burden. These measures will save a lot of capital, reducing the social pressure.MethodsAll children were investigated coming from the specific areas of Zhengzhou, Xinxiang, Zhumadian, Kaifeng and Dengfeng, Xinmin, Luoyang, Puyang, Sanmenxia, Shangqiu, Luohe. The were investigated by stratified cluster random sampling principle. They are0to6years old (born2005-1-1to2010-12-31).The epidemiological investigation is conducted in the form of household questionnaire. The issue is investigated with the cooperation of the county or city level hospitals. Each hospital is responsible for local children who is born2005-1-1to2010-12-31. In the survey, we adopt the whole sampling method, such as urban community as the unit, the rural township as the unit. All children who is born2005-1-1to2010-12-31,must fill in the field of child development questionnaire (check leakage rate less than10%).If we found suspected cerebral palsy in children, first, physical examination should be done by a professional doctor. And then the diagnosis can be made.Once confirmed, we should fill in the questionnaire, which is cerebral palsy children’s development, the status of prevention and cure of cerebral palsy.Sort all questionnaires paper material by Epidata3.2database. Data were analyzed using general descriptive analysis, univariate analysis, stratified analysis and chi-square testsignificance level a=0.05.Results1. The situation were surveyed0to6years old children in50596cases,27556cases of male, female,23040cases of henan province population sex ratio at birth1:1.196. We screened children with CP120cases, among which76were male, female in 44cases. Cerebral palsy of male and female ratio was1.735:1. CP incidence of2.37per thousand in Henan province. The major risk factors for CP are HIE, asphyxia, preterm birth, low weight, umbilical cord around the neck, pathologic jaundice, intracranial hemorrhage, etc.2.88.33%CP underwent antenatal examination, of which42.50%could adhere to the regular inspections. In antenatal examination project, the choice of the proportion of B ultrasonic examination were relatively high, accounting for75.00%of total cerebral palsy. But the rest of the inspection items were in a lower proportion.CP neonatal follow-up rate of only20.00%.When children9months, they could go to the hospital to check accounting for53.33%.3. According to statistics, in the investigation of120cases of children with CP,95cases of children with CP treated with rehabilitation training, accounting for79.17%. When the children were found abnormal and could be registered by60%, at the same time45.83%could follow-up37.50%to establish monitoring file69.17%of the children enjoyed medical insurance or new farming or submit an expense account.9.17%of children with CP treated with special financial aid from the government.Conclusions1. Henan cerebral palsy prevalence is2.37‰.2. The main risk factors of cerebral palsy are HIE, asphyxia, preterm birth, low weight.3. Cerebral palsy of antenatal examination rate is low. Parents of perinatal health care consciousness is not strong.4. The proportion of children with CP rehabilitation in henan province is low. The registration of children with CP, follow-up ratio is low. The knowledge of cerebral palsy need to be popularized. Early prevention and control situation of cerebral palsy in our province is not optimistic.
